Objectives:

• To ensure quality culture by institutionalizing and internalizing all initiatives taken with internal and external support.
• To disseminate information about various quality parameters and sensitize different stake holders on relevance and maintaining quality in academic and research fields to ensure timely, efficient and better performance.
• To ensure quality as the determining element of Maharaja Bir Bikram University through a combination of internal and external quality evaluation, promotion and other sustenance initiatives.

Power and Functions:

1. Development and application of quality benchmarks.
2. As a nodal agency, coordinates quality related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
3. Identifying and developing parameters for ensuring academic and administrative activities.
4. Expediting and promoting learner-centric environment for quality education.
5. Adopting necessary initiatives to enhance required knowledge and use of technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
6. Involvement of the different stake holders in the quality related institutional processes through collection and analysis of feedback collected.
7. Ensuring timely promotion of teachers through required initiatives as career advancement.
8. Organizing various workshops, seminars on quality related themes for promoting quality environment.
9. Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audit and its follow-up accordingly.
10. Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
