Bachelor of Library and Information Science

PSO1.Introduces the students with the fundamental concept of Library Management to enable them to maintain the Library and Information Centre.
PSO2. Familiarizes the students with the methods of generating and exploring various information sources and the ways to evaluate those resources.
PSO3. Trains the students to classify documents, prepare bibliographic records using cataloguing codes.
PSO4.Provides training on in Library management/ different Library related software and office management software to perform library operation and documentation works.

Masters’ of Library and Information Science

PSO1.Equips the students with the tool of identifying strength and weakness in gathering information sources/ resources.
PSO2.Develops the skill to build the filling of self-acceptance and communicate effectively with others about the concept of library system, their functions and services.
PSO3.Enables the students to understand the importance of information literacy with reference to media literacy, digital literacy and ICT literacy.
PSO4.Introduces the students with the basic of research and research methodology by helping them to formulate research problems, research questions, objectives and the methods of data collection and data analysis using different statistical techniques.
PSO5. Providing coaching among the students for appearing in NET/SET/SLET/GATE/various examinations conducted by TPSC.

Ph.D. in Library and Information Science

PSO1. Offering consultancy services on Library and Information Science aspects in University, Colleges and other Institutions.
PSO2.To promote knowledge by producing successful doctorates in Library and Information Science and other allied fields.
PSO3.Promoting research publications of National and International standards in reputed/ UGC-CARE listed journals.
PSO4.Enables the students to identify the research trends and issues in the discipline of Library and Information Science through critical thinking and advanced research methods.
