The Maharaja Bir Bikram University has introduced professional skill based programmes such as Diploma Programme in Goods & Services Tax (GST) and Post Graduate diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN) under self-financed mode to equip students in the present competitive job market. The classes of these programmes are conducted in the evening. Students can pursue these programmes simultaneously with other regular programmes or working in different organisations.

Diploma in Goods and Services Tax (GST):
Diploma Course in Goods and Services Tax (GST) has been introduced from the Academic Session 2020-2021. This is the first University in Tripura that has introduced this course. It is a 1 (one) year Diploma Course with 2 (two) Semesters and having 3 (three) Papers in each Semester. The basic objective of introducing this course is to equip and train the students in the area of tax and its related technical and practical aspects like E-Filing, Return Submission, and Accountancy etc. The course structures and syllabus are accordingly framed to enable the students to be equipped with diverse knowledge and experiences for seeking employment in various public and private organisations.

Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN):
The Department of Library & Information Science has introduced one-year Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN) programme as evening course under self-financing mode. The aim of the programme is to enrich the students with practical experiences to develop the automated library system and to equip them with essential knowledge associated with it.
